Hot Humid Sunday Monday Heat Advisory Excessive Heat Warning

It isn’t exactly breaking news that it is hot in July but we are seeing the hottest weather of the summer so far and it is being acknowledged by the Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories that are up. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 90s. The Humidity is making it feel like it is over 100. Thunderstorms will either be few and far between inland and non existent along the coast. You should be in a pool or at the beach this afternoon to stay cool.

Notice the satellite and radar are not showing very much though clouds north of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario are part of a cold front and an area of potential  severe weather that is moving into Western NY and Western Pennsylvania late today into tonight. However none of that is an issue here.

Monday does bring a cold front here late in the day and it is rather weak. Ahead of it we will see another afternoon of highs in the low to mid 90s and the chance for late day thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center does have a marginal risk of severe weather but the dynamics to be suggest that any thunderstorms will be scattered and any severe weather will be isolated in nature.

On to Tuesday which will still be very warm but we might get a bit of a break in the humidity. Highs will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Tuesday should be the last day of 90 plus because we have weak cold front late Wednesday with some showers and thunderstorms and again late Thursday. This should be followed by solid humidity relief at the end of next week and next weekend!
