High Winds Today Gusts 50 MPH
We are cranking away with the high winds this morning with gusts over 40 mph so far. With a little daytime heating thrown into the mix we will see gusts over 50 mph today. The satellite loop shows a major storm exploding this morning in the Gulf of Maine with some clouds rotating around it back toward are area. We look forward to a mix of sun and clouds today with temperatures probably reaching the upper 30s and lower 40s though the wind will make it feel like it is in the 20s.

The regional radar shows heavy snow over coastal Maine. The storm track was a little further south which kept Cape Cod out of the heavy snow and potential blizzard conditions. This storm will begin to pull away to the east and this begins the process of our weather pattern relaxing and warmup up in the longer range once we work through this week. Skies should clear tonight with lows in the 20s to near 30 with less wind. Tuesday we will see sunshine and highs into the 40s.
There is no storm for later this week. That is off the table now. We will just see a cold front move through here later Wednesday with some rain showers and then colder and dry Thursday and Friday. Warmer air arrives this weekend and we are headed into the 50s and possibly the 60s early next week!
