Heavy Rain Moving Through Northern NJ NYC HV CT LI
The radar this morning is fairly loaded this morning with 2 areas of heavy rain. The area over Northern New Jersey is especially heavy and that is swinging eastward to the coast during this morning and into this afternoon. Some areas will get 1 to 2 inches of rain with localized flooding likely. Flood Warnings are up for parts of Northern New Jersey & Northeastern Pennsylvania into this afternoon.

Central & Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania look to be south of the main area of rain. The heaviest downpours are moving through the Hudson Valley & into Connecticut and eventually Long Island.
Once this rain air moves east we will see a mix of sun and clouds develop from west to east this afternoon and another shower or thunderstorm is likely in a few spots this evening. Highs will reach into the 80s. The weekend remains on course. Saturday it is a mix of sun and clouds with the chance for a late day thunderstorm. A west wind will mean highs in the 80s to near 90. Sunday looks very good with lots of sunshine and low humidity with highs in the low to mid 80s.
