Heatwave Ends No 90 Degree Weather For Awhile
It appears that the recent run of 90 degree plus days has come to an end at 4 (or 3 depending on whether you are near the coast). We have a weather front stalled just to our south and an onshore flow has taken over. We also have a fair amount of clouds to deal with today and that will hold temperatures down as well. As far as rain is concerned we don’t expect much today with the exception of South Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania again where there is a risk for severe weather yet again.ern Pennsylvania.

There are areas of showers and thunderstorms developing across the lower Ohio Valley today and that area is moving east. Low pressure is going to ripple along on this front and this stands a good chance to bring rain and some heavy downpours overnight into Monday morning. This could be a widespread 1 to 2 inch rain producer. Models surprisingly all line up about the same with this rain which is a bit unusual. But at least for the day side today it should be rain free in most areas.

Once the rain is done and the low goes by Monday morning the rain ends and we will have leftover clouds, a northeast wind and highs in the 70s to near 80. However areas north and west of NYC might see temperatures struggling in the 60s! South Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania might reach into the lower 80s. Then we should see lower humidity and some sunshine on Tuesday with highs mostly in the 70s.
