Heatwave Day 3 Severe Weather Risk Cooler Air Wednesday
Heatwave Day 3 Severe Weather Risk Cooler Air Wednesday
Today is the last day of this heatwave which will make it a short 3 day heatwave. The arrival of a backdoor cold front puts an end to all this late this afternoon and evening when there could be a thunderstorm in a few spots. The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service has parts of our area at a marginal risk of severe weather today.
We will have lots of sunshine into this afternoon as highs once again reach the low to mid 90s just about everywhere except right along the immediate coast. That lack of a strong sea breeze might allow these thunderstorms to survive as the move southward. We will keep our eyes on the radar later today.

Once the front is done it is going to turn cooler over the next several days. Wednesday we will see sunshine and clouds. There might be a few showers leftover in parts of South Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania early in the day. Highs will be in the 70s to near 80 which will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler. Thursday could be even cooler with most highs between 65 and 75 with some sun and clouds. Friday brings clouds and an increasing chance for showers and the chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue on and off through Father’s Day weekend.
