Monday is the second day of the heatwave and you can look for humidity levels to be slightly higher making it a little more uncomfortable Once again the sea breeze will cool off some areas with south facing shore lines like Long Island & Connecticut. No thunderstorms are forecast as the air mass remains very stable.

Tuesday will be the last day of 90 degree plus weather as a cold front drops southward from upstate New York & New England. This could trigger off a few scattered thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening but severe weather is not forecast by the Storm Prediction Center
HEATWAVE DAY 3 TUESDAY FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
The cool off begins Wednesday with an east wind and some sunshine. Highs will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler especially if you are closer to the coast. Inland areas could still see temperatures reaching into the 80s.

Thursday could be even cooler with clouds coming into the picture. Some places will not get out of the 60s No rain is forecast for Thursday but there could be some showers to the west and south. The chance for showers will increase somewhat as we head into Friday and the weekend. No 90 degree days are forecast through Father’s Day weekend though it could turn very warm and humid and there will be an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms as the weekend progresses.
