Gradual Improvement Humidity Eases Into Wednesday
Next Front Thunderstorms Thursday
Yesterday’s widespread severe weather outbreak is now over with and the main focus of yesterday’s weather system now in New England. Severe weather risk is marginal for Southeastern New England this afternoon and evening with the western edge of the severe zone in Eastern Connectiicut and over Eastern Long Island. Just to the west is the sharp cut from general thunderstorms to no thunderstorms.
Since we are still dealing with the upper trough a shower or thunderstorm popping up can’t be ruled out see will give it a mention today for Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England with a higher chance in Southern and Southeastern New England. Otherwise it is a mix of sun and clouds today with highs reaching into the 80s. Dew points will be lower than yesterday, so yes it will be less humid. Then again anything compared to yesterday is probably less humid. The exception to that will be the areas to the east where the dew points will still remain rather high today.

Finally tonight our weather system in Southeastern Canada/Northern New England will move away and skies should clear out. Most lows will be in the 60s. Wednesday should be a nice weather day of sunshine. Dew points should drop into the 50s which would make it quite nice. Highs Wednesday will be on the warm side of the ledger as we reach the middle and in some places, upper 80s.
We are still in a pattern where cold fronts will be moving through every couple of days or so with quick short lived shots of dry air. One such front will approach Thursday and we see the chance for downpours and a few thunderstorms. However for now we do not see much in the way of an elevated risk of severe weather. Look these downpours coming in early and they should be mostly gone by late in the day.
Thursday temperatures are likely to be held down with the clouds around and the rain so look for highs just reaching into the 80s and while it is raining, temperatures will just be in the 70s. Humidity levels will obviously be higher Thursday ahead of the system and then drier air should come in behind it.
Moving along Friday we see some sunshine with another quick shot of lower dew points and highs in the 80s. Saturday will bring the next cold front with the risk for showers and thunderstorms late in the day and warm and humid ahead of those storms. Highs will be in the 80s. Another shot of dry air arrrives for Sunday with sunshine forecast and highs in the 80s.
