With the end of summer and the arrival of fall, our weather pattern remains pretty much in the same mode it has been in for the last few months. Dry weather conditions overall through this week are expected once any rain ends this evening. Temperatures will be warming up again this week thanks to the East Coast U.S. ridge that refuses to die. The bottom line is that outdoor activities will be able to continue. The golfing season which has been spectacular given the very dry weather can go on without any interruption from early fall cold weather or widespread rain events.
GOLFING WEATHER RIDGE IN THE EAST GFS THURSDAY MORNING UPPER AIR FORECAST
Now this ridge translates into warmer than normal temperatures and dry weather conditions for Wednesday through next weekend. No rain can get here with all the energy trapped in the Western States where the deep trough remains.
GOLFING CONTINUES WITH COOLER WEATHER NEXT WEEKEND GFS SUNDAY 09252016
Even this cool shot won’t last for more than a few days and it will make golfing conditions delightul with low humidity and temperatures in the 60s to lower 70s. Nights could be cool next weekend if this plays out. There is still no sign of a long term change in the weather pattern. Also any tropical storms that develop won’t be able to move up the east coast if this all plays out according to the GFS weather model.
