Dry Sunday Monday Rain Moves In Tuesday
As low pressure develops offshore we are setting up a dry Sunday Monday with sunshine today and sunshine giving way to afternoon arriving clouds on Monday. Chilly air is funneling down out of Canada today and Monday but nothing exceptional. It will be seasonal today with most highs in the 40s to near 50 and the same probably holds for Monday. You can see on the satellite loop the storm departing to the northeast and at the same time the next weather system moving out of the west and heading into the Plains.
Radars look to be quiet today and on Monday but then we will start to get into some rain for Tuesday. This will be the first of what should be three rounds of rain that will carry us through Thursday. Latest weather models don’t show much change with the idea of a 2 to 3 inch generous rainfall which will be widespread and put a dent in the long term drought we are in.
