Drier Air Behind Isaias Small Humidity Break Into Thursday Showers Thursday Night Friday
Most times behind any storm is the nice weather that follows that allows you to get the clean up. Isaias left its mark on us with extensive wind damage in most areas and some heavy rain to the west of the coast. Now we are catching a break with some sunshine though it is still very warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. A break in the humidity however is coming tonight and for Thursday that should be rather enjoyable. Other than patchy clouds on the satellite there are no issues and there is nothing on the radar that is concerning.
We should see mainly clear skies tonight with lows in the mid 60s to near 70. Thursday we are going to enjoy sunshine with dew points dropping in the upper 50s to lower 60s making for a nice comfortable day. Highs in some areas won’t get out of the 70s but most will see highs reach the lower 80s.
A bit of an onshore flow develops on Thursday with a northeast wind which then goes more east and southeast. We also have a stalled frontal boundary with a weak wave to the south and you get some showers out of this for later Thursday night into Friday.
Any rain should not be continuous but there could be some lingering showers or a thunderstorm late Friday or Friday night until the low moves offshore and exits. That should take us to a very warm and humid weekend with some sunshine for both Saturday and Sunday. Highs Saturday will be in the low to mid 80s and highs Sunday will be in the mid to upper 80s. 90s may be coming back for the first half of next week as a bit of a ridge builds into the Eastern US. The tropics should be mostly quiet into early next week as the atmosphere relaxes after the passing of Isaias.
