Downpours Scattered This Evening Humid Conditions Continue
Last night’s low that moved up the coast helped to transition us into a very humid air mass. We do have a lot of clouds around but some areas are seeing some breaks of sun this afternoon as temperatures reached into the 80s. This southerly flow along the East Coast continues all next week which mean very humid tropical conditions with some breaks of sun at times with a deep blue tropical sky mixed in with downpours along the way.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
The regional and local radars are picking up on developing downpours with a concentrated area of heavy rains heading into South Central Pennsylvania. Other patchy downpours are in Eastern Pennsylvania with a scattering of them across New Jersey and in the Lower Hudson Valley. Offshore south of Long Island we see some downpours developing and moving northwestward and those could come ashore soon.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
We are going to be playing this game all week long. Some days will see more downpours than others. Temperatures by day will be in the 80s and nights will be in the very muggy 70s. A bit of a break from this is possible late Friday or Saturday before another trough sets up to the west and the southerly flow along the East Coast comes roaring back again.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
