DOWNPOURS OVERNIGHT BUT IMPROVES RAPIDLY SATURDAY
So far the downpours have been underwhelming or non existent and as we suggested yesterday we were underwhelmed and unimpressed by the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy. It is very humid and very tropical out there this evening and it will be that way all night. Some downpours will be running around but I do not expect widespread activity and some areas won’t see much of any rain at all. The main threat comes tomorrow morning around daybreak when an area of rain which will look like a stick on the radar moves through. It produces rain for at most an hour or two. By mid morning it will start to go partly to mostly sunny in areas west of the coast and by noon or early afternoon to the east of NYC.

If it clears out fast enought Saturday afternoon highs will probably soar to the upper 80s to near 90 in some places. The combination of a drying air mass, a developing west or northwest wind and sunshine will send temperatures soaring higher.
Then it turns cooler and dry Saturday night. Sunday looks great with sunshine with highs in the low to mid 80s. Monday and Tuesday look great with sunshine with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s with comfortable humidity.
