Colder Weather Returns Monday
After yesterday’s general 3 to 6 inch snowfall we saw temperatures rise overnight however in areas inland north and northwest of the coast the temperature rise has been a struggle which is typical in cases like this. The snow cover and the stubborness of the cold air has kept inland temperatures in the 30s for most of the night.
Eventually that front should push further north today as a cold front comes in from the west. Rain will develop from west to east as the day progresses. Radars are fairly loaded to the north and west and that rain will gradually slide southeastward.
Once the cold front moves offshore there is colder air behind it and there is a chance we could go to mix this evening and early tonight in some areas but this should not amount to much of anything. Skies will clear out late tonight and then we have 2 cold days with sunshine. Monday will be cold with highs not much out of the lower 30s in most places. Temperatures Tuesday could edge toward. 40 or so.
