Clouds Overnight Warmer Air Fog
With the arrival of warmer air it brings with it some issues. This begin still winter time the ocean is cold and the warm air overrunning the cold ocean brings about fog among other things and this may be an issue Wednesday night into Thursday morning. For now clouds are an issue as we have a weak weather system coming across the Northeast while a low in the Gulf States meanders its way toward Florida. We will be stuck in clouds overnight and for at least part of Wednesday. Showers in Upstate NY on the radar should fall apart overnight and I don’t think they will be an issue here at all.

Wednesday we will see clouds giving way to some breaks of sun. Temperatures will respond somewhat away from the ocean. Temperatures will be in the 50s along the coast but we should reach into the lower 60s away from the ocean’s influence.
Thursday with winds more from the west, if fog burns off and we get enough sun, we should see temperatures rise toward 70 degrees and numerous records will fall.
Friday will be a bit tricky because winds will turn more southeast again as a warm front sets up to our south. The front is part of a developing storm over the Western Great Lakes. The cold front will approach on Saturday which introduces the chance for showers and perhaps even a few thunderstorms. Temperatures Friday and Saturday will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s. It will cool off on Sunday with a gusty wind and some sun and clouds with highs just in the 40s.
Long range remains the same as we head into next week with just transient shots of cool air in between warm ups ahead of weather fronts that will be coming through every couple of days. No snow is on the horizon for the next week or longer. JOESTRADAMUS has more on in his long range post.
