Beautiful Afternoon But Changes Are Coming
What an absolutely gorgeous day! We have beautiful blue skies and sunshine across all of the Northeast (except Maine) and it extends southward into the Middle Atlantic states. Lots of sunshine will continue for the rest of the afternoon with temperatures into the 60s and a nice breeze from the northeast. No weather issues are forecast through tonight as skies will be clear and temperatures tonight will be in the chilly upper 30s and low 40s. However changes are coming on Wednesday. Clouds from an old stalled front to the south still remain and on the satellite loop you can see clouds and an upper air disturbance are swinging across the Western Great Lakes. This will begin changes on Wednesday.

Wednesday we will see clouds coming in from the west and also a moist strengthening flow from the northeast and east. The result will be temperatures that are going to struggle in the 50s especially along coastal areas where some shore points probably won’t break 50.
AFTER A BEAUTIFUL TUESDAY WEDNESDAY COOLER FORECAST HIGHS
The increasing moisture will result in some light rain Wednesday night into Thursday. Then as a warm front pushes through Thursday we will see some showers and rising temperatures back into the 60s and perhaps some 70s from Central New Jersey southward. Friday will be warm with temperatures in the 70s again over a large area including some coastal areas. The cold front moving through will produce some showers and thunderstorms. No severe weather is forecast at this point.

Saturday looks nice but cool and then we are going to be watching low pressure coming out of the Southern Plains and heading for the Middle Atlantic coast. This is setting us up for a chilly rain with an ocean wind Sunday and lasting into at least part of Monday. We will have more on this later today after we get a look at more weather model data.
