4th of July Weekend Continues Better Weather Ahead
Severe weather has come to an end over the area and now we can look ahead to slow improvement overnight and a much better Sunday. Higher pressures and a west wind will mean sunshine and temperatures reaching the mid 80s to near 90. The west wind and sun will warm things up and the humidity will be a shade lower. We will see a stairstep decline in humidity over the next 2 days bottoming out on Tuesday. Radars will be quiet for today with no shower or thunderstorm activity to worry about.

The satellite loop shows the first front moving offshore with dry air behind it coming in for Sunday. In the Western Great Lakes we have a second front that will be coming in for late Monday.

Monday should see a fair amount of sunshine but another weather front will move through late in the afternoon Monday with the chance for a scattered thunderstorm. Much of the day however should be fine for those of you enjoying a 4 day weekend. Once the front passes, Tuesday the 4th of July will be terrific with lots of sunshine, comfortable humidity and temperature mostly in the 80s.
