Winter Weather Advisory Hudson Valley
Precipitation is advancing on the radars this morning across Pennsylvania and heading into New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Points east into NYC, Long Island and Connecticut shortly. Temperatures are borderline at the moment but will be headed higher shortly. Advisories are posted in some areas but I really don’t expect serious problems.
The satellite loop shows the beginnings of what will be a major storm for New England as the energy shifts to the Delaware coast this morning and low pressure begins to develop there. Winter Storm Warning is in effect for much of New England where 1 to 2 feet will fall from Eastern Vermont into New Hampshire and most of Maine.
For our area precipitation will continue into the late afternoon and evening then end from west to east. Temperatures today will reach into the 40s. Windy and colder weather tonight with lows by morning in the upper 20s to mid 30s. Friday looks windy and chilly with some sunshine and clouds with the risk of a few snow showers. Highs will be in the 30s to near 40. We will have more on the weekend and the long range later today.
