Snow is now sweeping in from the east from the massive coastal storm. Latest satellite loop shows that the low center after moving east is now turning north northeast up the coast and offshore as models have pretty much advertised. the comma shaped sweep of clouds continues to bulge westward this morning and radar is showing snow which is backing to New York City should begin over the next hour or so.

With regards to accumulations we have for you the two shortest of short term models which have pretty much continued the trends of last night.

The hard part of this forecast is that we have other things going on that will enhance some snows this evening into tonight so it will be a little difficult to separate where one system ends and the next one begins but we will attempt to figure it out. I tightened up the western end of this area and left the amounts to the east unchanged. Also this map is through 10pm this evening. There may be some more light snows overnight as we transition to the next system for Tuesday into Wedenesday which is probably even more difficult to figure out than this one has been.
