Winter Storm Warning New Jersey South of 195
Winter Storm Warnings are posted for New Jersey south of route 195 for later tonight into Tuesday morning. The first of several additional rounds of snow are approachin from the southwest. In addition some snow is developing now on the radar over the Hudson Valley and the area over Long Island and Connecticut continues from west of Bridgeport Southwestward to the Nassau Suffolk line. Additional snows in areas in and around New York City, Long Island, Connecticut and Hudson Valley could amount to up to a few additional inches. In some places it will be the first round of snow that missed out on the coastal storm snow this morning.

Radar shows moisture developing across Virginia & Maryland and that will be lifting up northeastward. How that area holds together could determine whether northern areas wind up with more than just a few inches over night. Look for wide variations of snowfall amounts. as these disturbances continue to rotate northeastward around the upper low to the west.
I made no changes to my snow forecast map and remember this is cumulative snow amounts over the next 2 days as there will be several additional rounds of snow to deal with. The strongest when may be for late Tuesday and Tuesday night as low pressure develops off the New Jersey coast Tuesday night.
