Weekend Weather Spectacular Continues
Hot Humid Weather Monday
No doubt about today’s weather as it was spectacular with sunshine. Temperatures were very warm but the humidity was reasonable. Our weekend weather continues with sunshine forecast for Sunday. The only difference is that Sunday we will have a breeze from the east which will hold temperatures down just a bit. But we will still see temperatures in the 80s. Rain is not going to be in the forecast through Sunday and probably through Monday. The satellite loop shows nice clear skies across most of the east. Clouds are back in the Great Lakes moving northward and not heading here as they will be passing to our northwest on Sunday.
Monday will be hot and humid again ahead of a weak cold front. We will probably see temperatures in the 80s to near 90. I suppose an isolated shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. It will turn a little less humid on Tuesday with sunshine and highs in the 80s. The bigger change will arrive with a cold front late Wednesday with hot humid conditions with highs in the 80s to near 90. There is the chance for a thunderstorm with a cold front coming through. Then a dry air mass from Canada arrives which will bring cooler air Thursday and lasting into the start of the Labor Day Weekend.
In the tropics this afternoon we continue to monitor Tropical Storm Gaston as it is on the verge on becoming a hurricane again. Most likely it will do so tonight. We have a low off the Carolinas producing 30 to 35 mph winds but it still lacks a concentrated center. Thunderstorms have been developing with the low in the Western Bahamas. Conditions could become more favorable here once the low passes through the Florida Straits and into the Keys late Sunday into Monday.
