Weekend Weather Forecast Slow Improvement
Weekend Weather Forecast Slow Improvement
The mostly onshore flow from yesterday that kept us in the soup for most of the day is gone. The severe weather that moved through Southeastern Pennsyvlania & Southern New Jersey is gone too. Now we have leftover clouds to deal with this morning but enough drying should occur so that we will go to a mix of sun and clouds before too long. Another isolated shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out this afternoon but overall it should be a dry day. Temperatures will depend on how much sunshine but we should see most places climb back up into the 80s. Slightly drier air from the Great Lakes should arrive tonight making for clear skies overnight and sunshine for Sunday with moderate humidity and highs in the 80s. Overall it is going to be an okay weekend. We just have to work our way through the cloud cover that is around this morning.

Radars are quiet this morning and other than the isolated shower or thunderstorm should remain so. The next weather front approaches on Monday from the northwest but there isn’t much of a push of dry air behind it. This probably sets up the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms late Monday and again late Tuesday but much of the time both days we should see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 80s. It appears we are locked in typical mid July weather and there is still no sign of any prolonged period of 90 degree plus days as long as the heatwave ridge remains mostly in the west.
