We have arrived at another weekend here and the last weekend of the month of January. We at least are finishing out the week with sunshine on this Friday. After a very cold start this morning we will see temperatures moderate this afternoon as highs reach the mid to upper 30s and a few spots will crack through the 40 degree mark. All this leads into a nice start to the weekend. The satellite picture below shows mostly dry air in the Eastern US with some moisture beginning to build in the Western Gulf of Mexico and also storminess continues in the Western US as a series of storms moves Eastern US.

NAM MODEL MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT CLICK TO ANIMATE
Monday into Tuesday is complicated. The front stalls offshore. Low Pressure from the Northeast Gulf of Mexico moves up the coast and an upper trough swings in from the Great Lakes. Weather models are all over the place with this and this morning’s Nam model brings some snow here late Monday into Monday night. We will watch today’s runs to see if some consistency develops with this. The outcome possibilities are all over the place and we have plenty of time to watch this. In the meantime you have a warmer Saturday ahead so be sure to enjoy it.
