We are heading into a typical mid July weekend which means we will have a typical mid July weekend of weather. I foresee nothing worse than a mix of sun and clouds. The odd downpour or thunderstorm could pop up in one or two spots but for most areas it will be unlikely. Temperatures will average a little above the mean. Whatever your outdoor plans you can go full steam ahead.

The satellite loop shows clouds rotating southeastward as weak upper air disturbances move along in the weak west northwest flow at upper levels. None of these disturbances stand out and nothing is out there that would cause any serious issues.

Radars are showing some pop up showers and thunderstorms with some strong storms in Southeastern New England going into this evening and also a few small lines in upstate New York.
The next cold front is not due to arrive until late Monday or Monday night and it sort of looks like the one that went through yesterday. Monday will be very warm ahead of it with maybe some late day thunderstorms. And then wash rinse repeat after that. There are no big storms on the horizon and no tropical systems to worry about as the tropics remain very quiet. Enjoy your weekend.
