We have come to the end of the week and we are looking for another disturbance to make its way southward from upstate New York. This will mean another day of sunshine and clouds, gusty winds and passing afternoon and evening showers. Much of the time today will be okay but you can see the clouds advancing southward. They should be here by early to mid afternoon from north to south. Showers might be a bit weaker today. Yesterday we saw some hefty downpours in a few spots and even some gusty winds to 40 mph or more. The wind will be generally busy today regardless of the showers.

Colder air follows tonight with lows in the 20s to around 30 and Saturday will be cold with some sunshine. Highs just in the low to middle 40s.

Sunday is the first day of spring and we are still looking at the potential for accumulating snow here late Sunday and Sunday night. However overnight models backed off from a major storm and now are starting to show a much less developed coastal low with much less in the way of precipitation and snowfall. The Euro model went from giving one foot plus snows to 3 to 6 for some coastal areas and much less north and west.
With regards to what I think is going to happen, I will be putting out my snowfall forecast later today. I want to wait a little while longer to see if the models flip back to a more robust look this afternoon.
