Week Ahead Weather Unsettled Thunderstorm Chances
We are finishing out the month of May in a rather unsettled fashion. The week ahead at least starts unsettled given what we are experiencing today. The next 2 days offer the chance for some showers and thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service has parts of our area in a marginal risk for severe weather

Two weak weather fronts will be moving through and neither system seems imposing at this point. Tuesday’s risk may be diminished due to an onshore flow that will persist. Wednesday we will see more of an offshore flow and there is probably a slightly higher chance for isolated strong thunderstorms. They will be confined to the late afternoon and evening both days.

Thursday and Friday look to be rather tranquil at this point until late Friday when another front approaches and brings with it the threat for thunderstorms late in the day. That front will take its time moving through so Saturday could also see a threat for showers and thunderstorms. Right not it would appear that the front will drop far enough south so next Sunday could be a nice day of sunshine. As far as temperatures go it will depend on how much sun we get. Tuesday will be a struggle in the 60s to lower 70s in general. Wednesday and Thursday we could see 70s to near 80 and perhaps into the lower 80s on Friday and Saturday (depending on wind and clouds). Sunday couid be nice and dry with highs in the low to mid 70s. Sunday will hinge on whether the front keeps on moving.
