Week Ahead Forecast
We have seen a few scattered thunderstorms move through this evening but the action was not as severe as it was last night. There are some cells still running around but they should diminish over the next few hours. The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service still has a slight risk for severe indicated but it seems to me based on latest radars that the activity is winding down.

There will be a slight break from the extreme heat and humidity on Monday however it only means that it will be a little less hot and a little less humid. I can’t rule out an isolated downpour or thunderstorm since the push of dry air behind tonight’s weather front is very weak.

Tuesday will see a return of tropical humidity with dew points in the low to mid 70s and temperatures in the lower 90s. There is the chance for thunderstorms Tuesday into Tuesday evening as another weak disturbance moves through. Wednesday will be very warm to hot again. Without a good strong push of dry air we will be playing this game for much of the week ahead. That stronger push may not come for another week.
