Weather Outlook For New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Eastern Pennsylvania

Looking at the satellite and radar loops we are seeing something that looks at lot worse than it actually is. Lots of clouds are streaming in from the west but what it is not easy t see is that the 2 systems that are involved with this are separate in nature and are not going to phase together to cause any serious issues other than cloud cover tonight into Sunday morning. You can see the twist in the statellite in Northwest Minnesota while the southern system is way south into Texas. Both systems are going to stay separate with the northern system outracing the south. This is the player for us tonight and tomorrow. There will be some showers appearing on the radar but they should track well to our north.
Once the northern system goes by us tomorrow we will probably see clouds Sunday morning give way to some sunshine in the afternoon. There is no cold air around to speak of. The air coming in Monday is about the same as the air mass we have now so it’s 60s for Sunday and Monday. The southern system will get kicked eastward with rain from this probably staying well to our south; even south of Southern New Jersey. Tuesday through Thursday we are thinking there will be a mix of sun and clouds each day and look for highs reaching into the lower 70s on average each afternoon. No big storms are on the horizon this week and no big storms are in sight in the long range outlook for the next 10 days. Even the next front which will come through at the end of week looks to come through dry with barely a shower. We go into November with an air of calmness in the weather pattern. Nothing in the long range at this point suggests any major changes but of course we are always looking.
