Weather Models Show August Beauty
We have really settled into a nice couple of days of weather here and we will see another day with lots of sunshine and reasonable temperatures and humidity. High pressure over and just to our north is creating a gentle onshore flow which is keeping things rather cool. Temperatures today should get back into the 80s especially away from the coast. There should be nothing more than a few passing clouds. Satellite loop shows clear skies across much of the northeast and we should see this dry air holding on through Friday. Sunshine Friday will boost temperatures into the 80s everywhere and we could see some spots get to the mid to upper 80s by days end.
Weather Models Weekend Outlook
This pattern is pretty easy and straight forward in my view. We will see one very warm and uncomfortable day and that would be Saturday. There is the risk for passing showers or thunderstorms early in the day (small risk) and a risk in the evening (larger risk) of some thunderstorms. In between we will see some sun and clouds. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s before the front passes.
What follows is another dry air mass for Sunday Monday and Tuesday of next week with lots of sunshine, low humidity and temperatures in the 80s. No big storms are on the horizon nor do we see a pattern which causes fronts to stall out. In fact it could get hot for a few days later next week as the big ridge builds in from the south for a short time.
