Got to love these easy forecasts. With dry weather and high pressure over the northeast the weather looks fine for Friday and great for the weekend. Temperatures will start trend higher into next week when we should be in the upper 80s to near 90 in some places.
We have a big upper ridge building and the jet stream shifts north and northeastward so this is a sign of prolonged above normal temperatures. That little circle off the Florida coast is Erika on the GFS but we aren’t concerned about that here. You can read more on the tropical page and on Joestradamus for that.Temperatures start to go above normal on Saturday but then really go above normal early next week with Tuesday showing much above normal temps which this time of year could mean 90 or better in some places. Thunderstorm activity looks to be minimal if at all. No weather issues up here if at all from Erika through Monday at least.
