Weather Conditions Improve Weekend Chilly No Major Storms Ahead
It took awhile but we did see weather conditions improve during the afternoon although areas to the south of NYC & Philadelphia had a tougher time with clouds. In fact those clouds are still around this evening. They should thin out some tonight as dry air moves southward out of Canada. We should see clear skies or, where there is cloud cover, at least some partial clearing. By morning most lows will be in the 30s but only a few of the coldest spots well north will see temperatures below freezing.
SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Rain from overnight and this morning is long gone and the radar have gone silent and should remain so for most of Saturday though we could see some rain developing across West Virginia and Virginia later in the day and then extending up to Maryland and possibly Southern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey for a short time late Saturday into Saturday night.
Most areas Saturday will see sunshine giving way to arriving clouds and that will hold temperatures down a bit with highs just into the 50s in most places. The rain Saturday night will be light (where it does rain) otherwise everywhere else north of the areas indicated above will just sit in clouds Saturday night into Sunday morning. Then we should see developing sunshine with highs just in the 40s to near 50. Monday look for sunshine with a cold start to the day as lows will bottom in the 20s to near 30 and Monday’s highs will be in the low to mid 40s.
We didn’t see any meaningful changes in the outlook for Monday night into Tuesday as the next cold front arrives with the chance for showers. We will turn chilly again into Wednesday and Thursday and then the next weather system approaches with a chance for a cold rain late next week.
