Warmer Days Ahead Into Thursday
With a storm free pattern across the United States for the most part we have a quiet week ahead. No rain is forecast until Thursday night as the next cold front moves through. In the meantime weak disturbances in the flow will bring occasional clouds from time to time over the next few days. Beyond that we will see cool temperatures tonight and Tuesday gradually give way to warmer temperatures Wednesday and Thursday. It is essentially what we just went through the last few days.
Radars are nice and quiet and will remain so until later Thursday. In the meantime, lows tonight will be in the 30s with patchy frost for some areas. Frost Advisory is posted for Southern Westchester and for Suffolk County on Long Island where some areas will fall below 32. Tuesday’s highs will be in the 50s. Wednesday’s highs will be in the 60s. Thursday will be a warmer day as we reach the 70s again before clouds and showers move in late in the day and at night.
Friday we see improvement as cooler air comes down from the north. Strong Atlantic blocking will keep things rather cool into the weekend and we will have to watch what happens to our east as to whether we may have to deal with any clouds or rain over the weekend. Right now it looks to be dry.
