Tropical Storm Earl Forms In Central Caribbean
Based on this very impressive satellite loop it appears that the tropical wave that has been moving across the Caribbean has strengthened into Tropical Storm Earl and has been christened so by the National Hurricane Center this morning. Advisory to follow shortly.
Latest weather models have trended a little further north than previous runs. The aggressive HWRF model has a hurricane heading into Belize but weaker than the previous run while the GFDL has it as a tropical storm and eventually takes it into the Southwest Gulf of Mexico
Since this system has outperformed models over the last several days, it seems that perhaps the more aggressive HWRF might be on to something. Conditions seem favorable all the way around as it gets further west into the Western Caribbean.

Android or I-phone, use it to keep track of all the latest weather information and forecasts. This weather app is also free of advertising so you don’t have to worry about security issues with your device. An accurate forecast and no worries that your device is being compromised.
Use it in conjunction with my website and my facebook and twitter and you have complete weather coverage of all the latest weather and the long range outlook. The website has been redone and upgraded. Its easy to use and everything is archived so you can see how well Joe does or doesn’t do when it comes to forecasts and outlooks.
