TROPICAL STORM DANNY WEAKENS FURTHER TO A DEPRESSION WHILE NEXT SYSTEM DEVELOPS

The rapid weakening process continues and once category three Hurricane Danny is now downgraded to a Tropical Depression. My suspicion is the shear will pretty much finish Danny off in the next day or so.

The system behind Danny is becoming better organized as both the ir satellite loop and the water vapor loop indicate. However again I would point out that the same longer term factors that impacted Danny are still around and could have an impact on the next system in the longer term.

satThere appears to be at least a mid level circulation here and it has the signature cirrus outflow to the north so clearly this is very close to becoming a tropical depression. The hurricane center gives this a 90 percent chance of tropical cyclone development.
