Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Rain Exits Weather Improves
Now that the burst of rain from the coastal low is all said and done we can move forward with improving weather conditions from west to east. Clouds will decrease and sunshine should begin to develop and increase from west to east as well this afternoon. Low pressure is moving up the coast and just offshore taking everything out to sea with it. There should be no weather related travel issues for the rest of today right through Sunday.

The last of the radar echos are pulling away to the northeast. It may take another few hours for the rains to end on Long Island but they should be done by 1pm or so. To the west there are a couple of showers still lingering but of little consequence.

Tonight skies clear and it will turn colder with lows in the mid 20s to lower 30s. Thanksgiving day looks bright and sunny but cold with highs just in the low to mid 40s.
Friday we will push it back to 50 or so with sunshine and Saturday we will be in the mid to upper 50s again before another cold front comes through with a shower in the evening and colder temperatures in the 20s to lower 30s by Sunday morning. All in all it is about a good a weekend as you can get for Thanksgiving.
