Thanksgiving Brings Sunshine Seasonal Temperatures
Colder Over the Weekend
The worst of the weather for this Thanksgiving week and we can now move ahead. Overnight rains are now offshore as low pressure moves east and strengthens. We should see some developing sunshine for Wednesday though we still have the upper trough that has to play through and you can see a rotation of clouds to the west in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Look for clouds to come into the mix and it will turn a bit breezy later today. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s for highs.

Weather conditions will continue to improve with lows by morning in the mid 30s to lower 40s as skies at least partially clear. It will be a bit breezy tonight into Thursday morning especially along the coast and some gusts over 30 mph are possible. Thanksgiving day itself will be a mix of sun and clouds and it will be a bit breezy. Highs will be in a range of 50 to 55 degrees.
A weak cold front will move through Thursday evening and there won’t be much with the front other than a wind shift from west to northwest and colder air will being to seep into the Eastern US for Friday. Morning lows Friday will be in the 30s. Sunshine and some clouds are forecast for Friday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s.
The coldest air of the season will arrive Friday night into Saturday morning and we will see clear skies Friday night. Temperatures by Saturday morning will be in the 20s everywhere with some upper teens in the colder spots inland. Saturday dayside will be sunny with highs just in the 30s.
High pressure will cover the Eastern States through Saturday night so Saturday night into Sunday mroning will be another cold night with widespread lows in the 20s to near 30. Sunday we will see another cold front coming in from the west and low pressure coming up from the south. Both systems appear to be on the weak side so it appears that much if not all of the dayside Sunday will be dry.
After a cold start Sunday morning look for sun to give way to arriving clouds with highs back into the 40s. Some showers of rain are possible Sunday night and maybe some wet snow in the mix well inland. It really doesn’t amount to much. Another cold air mass will follow this front next week though much of next week looks to be dry with no major storms on the horizon.
