Sunshine Sunday Warm Week Ahead Tropics Quiet
After yesterday’s upper air disturbance played itself through we were left with a nice dry cool air mass for today. Temperatures bottomed in the 40s this morning just about everywhere except the warmest urban and coastal areas. Now we can enjoy sunshine pretty much all day long with just a few passing clouds. Highs will be in the 60s to a few spots getting close to 70. No rain is in the forecast for much of this coming week as the pattern this time of year is usually dry and it is playing out according to form. Radars will be quiet for the next several days.
SATELLITE LOOP
REGIONAL RADAR
The tropics are quiet today across both the Atlantic and the Pacific and they are certainly taking a necessary break on the Atlantic side. No tropical storm development is forecast for the next several days. However late this week attention will shift toward the Northeast Gulf of Mexico & Northwest Caribbean where pressures will remain below normal so something might come out of there in the long range. As to our weather this week it will warm up with temperatures back into the 70s Monday and Tuesday and into the 80s again Wednesday and Thursday.
WEEK AHEAD WEATHER OUTLOOK OCTOBER 1ST-7TH
The next cold front will arrive later Thursday or Thursday night but it won’t have much with it other than a few showers. and then dry air follows it for Friday and the weekend with temperatures a little cooler but still on the warm side. Unless something develops in the tropics there are no big storms on the horizon.
