Sunday Sunshine Warmer Temperatures Onshore Flow Next Week

We had a beautiful day of sunshine Saturday and the March sun took temperatures up through the 50s. Now we have a chilly night ahead with clear skies. The satellite view shows clear skies  and there aren’t any clouds close by. We should be clear all night. Lows by morning will be in the upper 20s to mid 30s. Radars are quiet up and down the East Coast and it will remain that way through Sunday.

Sunday will be a very good looking spring day with sunshine pretty much from start to finish. Highs will reach the 60s in many locations away from the ocean. East and south facing shore lines will have to deal with afternoon sea breezes and that will knock temperatures down by about 10 degrees or so. It will be a perfect end to the first full day of spring and the first weekend of the new season.

Monday we will should see some sunshine but we will need to keep an eye on low pressure well offshore underneath the high to the east. We are on the northern edge of the onshore flow so I think we should see a fair amount of sunshine. However to the south an easterly flow begins to set up and this could create some cloud issues Monday night. The wind off the ocean will hold highs down a bit but highs should reach the 50s along the coast and upper 50s to lower 60s inland.

Some clouds will develop Monday night and we could start Tuesday off with clouds but some sunshine should develop through the cloud cover. Highs will reach the upper 50s to lower 60s on average. Mid 60s will be the highs further inland and lower 50s right along the immediate coast. We will probably deal with the same issues on Wednesday. Thursday the flow becomes more southerly as the next cold front approaches.

A strong low will be coming out of the Gulf States late this week and head up to our west. This will likely produce some severe weather over parts of the Gulf States. We will likely see showery rains head our way later Thursday into Friday. Everything should move along and that will leave us with nice weather for next weekend.
