Nice Sunny Sunday Week Ahead Outlook And Long Range

The second half of the weekend is every bit as good as the first half with temperatures today a few degrees higher. High pressure is overhead and moving to the east. We are seeing mostly cloud free conditions on the satellite picture. Radars are nice and quiet and will remain so for the next few days. There are clouds along the Southeast coast of the US where a weak low is developing offshore but this low will have no direct impact on the weather here. So enjoy the day with highs reaching the lower 60s away from the coast.  A bit of an onshore wind will keep east and south facing shoreline areas in the cooler 50s.

Moving along for the week ahead. We have been talking about the idea that the high out to the east creates some onshore flow issues this week and this remains the case. As long as the low off the Southeast coast remains offshore and to the south, we should be okay as far as rain is concerned. We have no rain in the forecast through Tuesday. The question after that will be whether ocean moisture comes in at low levels from time to time. The greatest impact will be to daytime highs which will be kept in check due to the wind direction.

Monday should be a sunny day with most highs ranging from the mid 50s to the east and along the coast. Lower 60s are likely inland. We could see some clouds developing along coastal areas Monday night but sunshine should break through any clouds on Tuesday. Highs inland will reach into the 60s but again 50s will be the rule along the coast and especially along east facing shorelines.

We will likely do this again on Wednesday but the flow might be a bit more onshore-ish. Highs will be in the 50s except low 60s inland. The next cold front looks like will get here Thursday night into Friday with a few showers but it seems like models are backing off on any kind of widespread rainfall from this. Otherwise we should see dry weather follow into next weekend.
