You can almost feel it in the air today as temperatures climbed well into the 70s to lower 80s for highs this afternoon. Some high clouds with an upper air disturbance dropping through the area this evening marks the leading edge of very warm air that will be with us for the next 3 days. Notice on the satellite loop it is bone dry to the west and south and there is no chance of any rain into at least early Friday. That is when the next cold front will arrive.

It boils down to how high is high and whether there will be a sea breeze or not along the coast. Wednesday we will see highs in the 80s to near 90. Thursday will be hot with highs at least in the upper 80s to lower 90s. I’m beginning to wonder whether we could see some highs around 94 or 95. It would not shock me.

There are no important changes in the forecast outlook for Friday and the weekend. Friday will still be warm with highs in the 80s until a cold front passes. Then it should be much cooler over the weekend especially on Saturday where highs will be in the mid 60s to low 70s. For now I’m leaving rain out of the forecast for the weekend.
