Showers This Afternoon Then Rain Late Friday Night into Saturday Afternoon

Showers This Afternoon Then Rain Late Friday Night into Saturday Afternoon 3/23/2023

Were it not for the clouds and showers this afternoon, we would probably see temperatures reach into the 70s. However we have clouds and showers and that will keep temperatures from rising there but it certainly will be in the 60s this afternoon. Rain is showing up on the regional and local radars so look for clouds and showers into the afternoon. Gradually those showers will diminish and leave us in clouds this evening and tonight. A cold front will be moving through tonight and there could be another shower or two. Most lows Friday morning will be in a wide range from 30s north and west of NYC, low 50s in Southern New Jersey southward, and in the 40s in between.

The front will move southward Friday and stall across Delaware and Maryland. Friday morning there could be some showers in Southern New Jersey and Southern Pennsylvania, but those showers will exit during the morning and not move northward. We will see lots of clouds Friday with a northeast winds. Highs will just be in the lower 50s at best.

Low pressure will be exiting Arkansas and heading to the Great Lakes Friday night and Saturday. The old cold front becomes a warm front and moves northward. Rain will arrive Saturday morning from south to north. Areas north of Route 84 in Pennsylvania and the Hudson Valley could see some wet snow or sleet at the start. For much of the day it will be a raw rainy day with temperatures in a wide range. Most highs north of Route 195 in new Jersey will be in the 40s while to the south we will see temperatures in the 50s.

Rain ends from west to east during Saturday afternoon and then a cold front passes. Behind the front winds will pick up from the northwest and skies should partially clear. Most lows will be in the low to mid 40s. Sunday will be a nice day with sunshine and a gusty wind. Highs Sunday will be in the mid to uppper 50s.A weak disturbance will be moving quickly to the east and there could be a little bit of rain Monday morning but once that goes by, partly sunny skies should develop with highs in the 50s to around 60.
