Showers Moving East Today, Nice Weekend,
Snow Monday Morning?
We have a cold front coming through this morning and it is producing showers as the front moves east. This make take most of the day to play through but we should start to see weather conditions improve slowly from west to east this afternoon. We can see from the radar and satellite this morning the precipitation is scattered around and moving eastward. We still have some patchy dense fog in some areas as the warm front makes its way northward.

Radar is showing the shower bands moving to the northeast. There isn’t much at the moment to the west so look for some breaks in the action as we move into early afternoon. There may be one last burst of shower activity around midday.

Weather conditions should start to improve in time for the evening commute as Passover begins after sundown. Skies should clear tonight with most lows in the 30s to near 40. This sets up a nice weekend with sunshine for Saturday. Clouds will arrive late in the day with highs in the 50s. Another front passes Saturday night and there could be a brief shower with that front. Otherwise Easter Sunday we will see some sunshine and breezy conditions with highs in the 50s.

Sunday’s front will stall out to the south and a wave is going to develop on it and move rapidly eastward. The northern fringe of that wave will be cold enough for some snow overnight Sunday into Monday morning but it is a weak system. Since this would fall between 1am and 7am it could stick on colder surfaces and right now it would seem the best chance for a coating to an inch or so would be South of Route 195 in New Jersey.

To the north of this area it will be clouds into Monday morning before weather conditions improve during the day. There may be another shot for a late season snowfall late next week but for now we are dealing with these things day to day and not getting too wrapped up in it. For now the weekend is front and center for Passover/Easter and it looks like a good one so enjoy and Happy Passover/Happy Easter.
