Severe Weather Outbreak Friday Saturday Looking Serious
When the Storm Prediction Center outlines a severe weather outbreak 2 to 3 days in advance it probably is a wise thing to pay attention. We are not going to be impacted by this but a large area of the Ohio & Tennessee Valley west to the Southern Plains will see a widespread outbreak of severe weather Friday night & Saturday.
SEVERE WEATHER THREAT STORM PREDICTION CENTER FORECAST FRIDAY-SATURDAY
This severe weather threat is likely to extend into Sunday as well. Strong low pressure is forecast to develop in Southern Plains and very slowly lift northeast. Strong tropical inflow from the Gulf of Mexico will be present along with a very cold push of air down the Rockies.

On the west side of this low will be a substantial snowstorm for the Rockies from Colorodo southward into New Mexico & North Texas. Many areas will see more snow from this than they have seen all winter including Denver Co.

Our weather here in the Northeast & Middle Atlantic will be relatively quiet as warmer temperatures head our way through Saturday. Back door cold front issues will cool it down a bit Sunday. As this storm system heads to the Great Lakes a strong cold front will approach on Monday and we could have some shower and thunderstorm issues from this late Monday into Monday night.
