Severe Weather Ends Colder Sunday
The incredible widespread severe weather that occurred Saturday afternoon and evening is now over with as a cold front moves offshore. Tornadoes in February and more thunderstorm activity than what we might see in June was one for the record books. Now it is back to something called more typical of late February but even here temperatures are going to be a few degrees above average.
Low pressure is moving through Eastern Canada and weather conditions will improve. Sunday we will see the dry air to our west move in and we will see some sunshine, a bit of a gusty breeze from the northwest and temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Sunday night will be clear and cold with lows in the 20s to lower 30s. Monday we will see sunshine give way to arriving clouds with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Then another storm system heads to the Great Lakes and another warm front sets up to our south.
Some rain is likely with temperatures in the 40s and low 50s until the warm front passes. More showers and yes maybe a thunderstorm or two is possible until the next cold front passes through. Then March arrives and we see temperatures trending colder as a blocking pattern develops. What happens during this pattern remains to be seen as weather models are all over the place regarding chances for precipitation be it rain or snow.
