SATELLITE
WEATHER RADAR
We have already seen winds pick up ahead of a cold front and upper trough to the west so these thunderstorms will enhance the wind gusts as they go by. The HRRR loop below is from 5pm to 1am Friday. Thunderstorms look to arrive in Western New Jersey around 7-8pm and reach NYC around 8 or 9pm.
Once they are done the cold front passes and weather improves during the early morning hours. Lows will be in the 40s to near 50. There are no changes in the outlook going forward from earlier today.
Friday will be a day of changeable skies as an upper trough will be moving through. There could be some scattered showers around Friday afternoon. Highs will be in the 50s and then we head down to the upper 20s to middle 30s Saturday morning. Saturday will be the better of the two weekend days with sunshine and some clouds. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s which is about where we should be for this time of year. We have a weak low that will me moving through early Sunday morning with clouds and a few scattered showers but I think we could see improvement from west to east Sunday afternoon and see decreasing clouds with increasing sun. Highs Sunday again will be in the 50s.
