Rain Wind Forecast Through Evening
The next round with this storm begins with rain wind forecast through this evening. The cold air has been scoured out for the most part and we have warm air everywhere except in far northern and western areas. You can see on the map below all the winds have turned southeast or south except across the western parts of Pennyslvania and upstate New York. 40s and 50s have replaced single digits and teens in just 24 hours.
Rain Wind Forecast Through Evening Satellite Radar Loops
Radar is very busy with a solid area of rain and thunderstorms moving up from the south. Look for 1 to 2 inch rainfalls and very gusty south winds especially along the coast. The heaviest rain will be for this afternoon. Some of thunderstorms could be strong as they are impressive on the radar loop. Heavy snow will fall over Western Pennsylvania and Upstate New York west of the Adirondacks. Cold air might cause a changeover there late in the game as the low goes by into Southeastern Canada.
Weather conditions should improve on Wednesday with some sunshine and clouds. A weak disturbance shows up on the NAM model with an area of snow showers for late tonight. We will see whether that holds together or not. Otherwise weather conditions for the rest of the week look dry and on the cold side though no extreme cold is forecast.
