JOE & JOE WEATHER SHOW TUESDAY 9/29/2020 7PM

Weather conditions will continue to deteriorate this evening. Our cold front is marching eastward with area of rain. Along the North Carolina coast we are seeing the beginnings of a developing wave. Thunderstorms have been developing there. The merger of the two will occur right over us tonight and that is going to lead to rain heavy at times. Winds will be gusty along the coast and east of NYC to Southern New England and the Eastern half of Long Island we could see southerly winds gusting to 50 mph.

Look for up to a couple of inches of rain from New Jersey to New England from this. Tomorrow morning around daybreak our system will pull to the north and the rains will end from west to east. Weather conditions should improve later in the day with decreasing clouds and some developing afternoon sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Thursday should be a good day with sunshine and some late day arriving clouds. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Another front approaches Thursday night into Friday morning with a little wave that develops on the front. We could see a few showers Thursday night into Friday morning. Once the front passes the rain should end quickly followed by sun and clouds and a shot of very cool air. Friday’s highs will be in the 60s.

Cool air and below average temperatures will be with us into early next week. Saturday looks to be nice and sunny with highs in the low to mid 60s. Sunday starts with sun but clouds will arrive with highs also in the low to mid 60s. Low pressure will be developing to our south with high pressure to the north. That could set us up for some rain for Sunday night and Monday. More on this tomorrow.
