Quiet Sunday Offshore Low Brushes Coast With Rain Quiet Otherwise This Week
Our quiet weather continues on this Sunday as we have high pressure and the latest shot of cold air about to move off the coast near Cape Cod and head to the east. This still leaves us in a good place today and after the morning cold start temperatures should do well and reach the low and even a few middle 30s across the area. The radar is quiet as it enjoys it’s well deserved break but it will have some work to do come Monday, not a lot but some.

WEATHER RADAR
Monday we see a weak low that develops off the Southeast US coast climb north northeast up the coast but the upper support for this system is not all that strong. In fact it is on the weak side. A wind off the ocean will take temperatures into the upper 30s and lower 40s so it is a good bet that the lower levels of the atmosphere will support some rain though it isn’t much.
Well inland to the north and north of Route 84 it is possible that some wet snow could be in the mix. The lack of a strong cold upper feature here is keeping things wet down closer to the coast and there really is no upside here from what I can see. Precipitation comes in late Monday and is gone by early Tuesday
After this the weather looks relatively quiet for the rest of the week with nothing more than a cold front late Thursday and temperatures that will hover plus or minus a couple of degrees from average. There continue to be vague signs in the long range of something more important later in the weekend or early next week but they remain vague and out there so we will just watch and wait until Tuesday. If there is something on the maps by then, then I might get a bit more interested.
