Northeast Ski Resorts Begging For Snow
Northeast Ski Resorts are not in a good place right now. Snow for this week isn’t happening. In fact Northeast Ski resorts will be watching what few trails they have open melt away as 60s will head up all the way into Northern New England. The first opportunity for snow in Northern New England however may come this weekend as colder air bleeds down from Canada and a wave of low pressure sets up to the south across Central New England. This favors some snow in the northern regions over the weekend. The best chances for a heavier snow ill be in Northern Maine per the Gfs model
Meanwhile in the west it has been a bonanza for snow and they are about to get hammered again as a major storm develops in the Southwest Us and eventually heads northeastward toward the Great Lakes early next week. The snow over the next 10 days will be measured in feet!
Virtually the entire west is covered in white over the next 7 days. This is on top of the feet of snow that has fallen this month. Such is the el nino dominated pattern we have been in. If you are planning a trip northeast ski resorts call ahead to make sure they have any snow at all. Out west you can pretty much take your pick and enjoy.
