Our quiet weather pattern continues to move along and the warm up remains delayed. However the cold air we have is only keeping temperatures at seasonal levels and we will have a day of sunshine with nothing more than some passing clouds. Temperatures today will top out in the upper 30s to lower 40s from north to south. Radars are nice and quiet for another couple of days. Night’s have been on the chilly side and that continues tonight under clear skies. Teens and low 20s will be the lows Wednesday morning inland and away from warmer urban centers. Those warmer urban centers will bottom in the upper 20s to around or just over 30.

Moving along into Wednesday we again have no issues and temperatures might inch up just a bit. High pressure from Southeastern Canada will be overhead and it will be another day of sunshine. Temperatures Wednesday afternoon will reach the upper 30s to near 40 in areas north of NYC and low to middle 40s from Southern New Jersey and Southern Pennsylvania southward.

 

Let’s move on the Thursday where high pressure is offshore, and a cold front is beginning to make its approach from the west. We will likely see sunshine give way to arriving clouds during the Thursday with highs in the 40s to around 50 degrees. The front will move through Thursday night into Friday morning with some showers. After the front passes weather conditions will improve Friday afternoon.

Behind the front we have chilly air but once again we are talking about a minimal cold air mass for the weekend. Saturday will be dry and sunny with highs mostly in the 30s to near 40. Sunday we will see sunshine with highs back into the 40s. No rain or snow is forecast for the weekend. Another cold front will approach with a few showers late Sunday night or Monday morning and that will lie ahead of some storminess for the middle of next week.
