National Weather Service Snow Ice Forecast 12182017
Tonight’s light precipitation event has triggered a Winter Weather Advisory for Northeastern New Jersey, Hudson Valley, Connecticut South of Route 84 and the northern half of Long Island. Some light snow is possible tonight as the radar shows some precipitation to the south moving northeastward. However this area is weakening as it moves north. Precipitation amounts should be minor but there is the risk for an icy coating to occur inland and north of the warmer urban locations. Precipitation should be patchy in nature so some areas may not see much if any at all.
